In every aspect of our interaction with your dog, we consider his or her feelings and needs. We avoid doing anything that might frighten or traumatize your dog, and do everything we can to make your dog's visit to THE PET WASH a thoroughly fun and enjoyable one.
Grooming Philosophy - Here at THE PET WASH, we are 100% cage free, kennel free and back room free; being confined in a small enclosure for hours on end can traumatize your dog. Your dog is only with us for a short time while we bathe and groom them and cages have no place in our grooming philosophy. All parts of all services are performed by hand, and your dog is never left alone nor overly restrained. We do not perform any services that are cruel or dangerous and we stop performing any service immediately if your dog lets us know they've had enough. Our goal is to build a long-term relationship with you and your dog that is based on kindness and trust. Your dogs safety and happiness are foremost in our minds.
Selection of Foods and Treats - All the foods THE PET WASH carries are recommended by the Whole Dog Journal (an objective dog health publication that accepts no advertising similar to Consumer Reports). Our selection of foods is based on intensive, unbiased, current research. All of our foods are meat based, low carbohydrate, and free of artificial preservatives and GMO's. Our treats are also meat based, after all dogs are carnivores and have no biological need for a diet high in carbohydrates. Simply put, dogs thrive on a meat based diet!
Knowledge and Customer Service - The entire staff of THE PET WASH are well versed in all aspects of pet care and nutrition. We can answer any questions you may have, from the best way to treat your lawn for fleas (with nematodes), to the most specific inquiries regarding diet and nutrition. If you ever need assistance using our equipment, we are on hand to thoroughly explain everything to you. You will never leave without knowing exactly how to use our tools, or without having your dog's new harness properly adjusted.
